Sounds of Music
I offer private piano, violin and organ lessons in Algona, Iowa.
While it's a business degree that I have, it's music that has always been a bigger part of my life. I've been teaching for over 20 years. I love practicing piano in an empty church. I love learning a new song until it feels like I can understand the story behind the song and play it meaningful. Going on a vacation without access to a piano is one of those things that just isn't a good thing for my soul.
The piano bench is where I belong.
Lessons are given on a weekly basis, with preference for a 45-minute lesson. Lessons are year-round, with a break in August.
A free consultation with parent and child is required prior to being accepted into the studio. Written studio policies are shared at that time. Questions regarding lessons can be addressed in person.
While I believe piano learning happens at the bench, I also believe learning happens away from the bench, especially for beginners. I utilize games, white-board activities, and technology-driven activities during lesson time.
